THE BEGINNING

it began on stage. Joel and Rowena began their careers across television, musical theatre, concerts and live performance before moving behind the camera. working with artists, directors, producers and choreographers continues to shape their creative leadership, storytelling and collaboration. see origins for more.

BROADCAST

Complex productions. As the Creative Directors and senior Creative Producers the voice australia (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026), Joel and Rowena defined the creative vision for nationally broadcast performances, the show's editorial environments and visual language. From concept development through to live broadcast, they led performance, choreography, staging, lighting, cameras, screen content, creative and technical production crews.

artists include Jason Derulo, Rita Ora, Melanie C, Adam Lambert, Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian, Kate Miller-Heidke, Jimmy Barnes, Richard Marx, LeAnn Rimes, Ronan Keating and Marcia Hines. They also led the creative direction of the live performances for the 2025 Logie Awards.

SCREEN

Story drives the work. Creative direction, directing, creative producing and cinematography for commercials, broadcast, music videos, video content and narrative film.

Their direction of Give You Love for Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo earned an ARIA Award nomination for Best Video, with Joel also serving as DOP. They later travelled to Los Angeles to direct, produce and shoot screen content for Jason Derulo's world tour.

Graduates of AFTRS, Rowena in Screen Directing and Joel in Screen Cinematography, they continue to develop original film work. films include Ellie Was Here, which premiered at the St Kilda Film Festival, written and directed by rowena, with joel as dop. Joel also served as DOP on Invisible, which premiered at Flickerfest and was featured on abc iview.

for the room. Joel and Rowena creative direct live entertainment for events and for close to a decade, served as trusted creative partners at The Star Sydney, delivering creative direction for entertainment across its annual calendar of vip events.

COMMERCIAL

concept to delivery. Joel and Rowena direct, produce and shoot commercial projects from concept through to final delivery. Recent work includes campaigns for Wildflower Gin and the NRL Mini Mascots.

They have also collaborated with leading production companies in choreography, movement direction and casting for Finch, Goodoil Films, Exit Films, Rabbit Content, Airbag and New Life Films Shanghai across campaigns for Shanghai Disneyland, Uber Eats France, Telstra, Kmart, Domain, MasterFoods, Suncorp, UNO Home Loans, Carlton & United Breweries, McCain, RSPCA, Sydney Metro and TK Maxx. They worked with directors such as adam stevens, fiona mcgee, wade shotter, lachlan dickie and stuart bowen.
